www.BAES.info The British Association of Endocrine Surgeons' website
Criteria for membership of the BAES are
Full Member - a consultant medical practitioner who is actively involved in the management and treatment of endocrine diseases
Affiliate member - a trainee with an interest in the management of endocrine diseases. The applicant should have presented at least two pieces of research to the annual meeting of the BAES (this has not been adhered to recently in our enthusiasm to encourage new members, and I do not know if you want it to remain).
Corresponding member - a consultant medical practitioner who is actively involved in the management and treatment of endocrine diseases, but who resides outside the United Kingdom
Senior Member - a retired medical practitioner who was actively involved during their career in the management and treatment of endocrine diseases.
All applicants should submit an application form, counter-signed by 2 members together with details of their endocrine training and current endocrine practice. Membership is then approved by the executive committee and is conditional upon participation in the national audit and the payment of an annual subscription fee (currently £50, rising to £60 from 1st Jan 2005). FORMS SHOULD BE PRINTED OUT FROM THIS WEBSITE AND SUBMITTED TO THE HON SEC. RICHARD BLISS BY POST .
